About Lindsey

A writer and editor for 15+ years, Lindsey is currently the director of promoted content for CultureMap. Previously, Lindsey worked as the managing editor of a publishing house, was D Magazine's first theater critic, served as the Texas regional editor for Where travel publications, and put in time as a cater waiter in New York City (oh, the celebrity stories!).

Lindsey earned her master's degree from the Goldring Arts Journalism program at The Newhouse School, Syracuse University. Before that, she obtained her bachelor's in theater from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and spent time studying theater at Royal Holloway, University of London (where she lived in a pink castle. Really!).

Though she specializes in travel, the arts, design, and architecture, Lindsey can write (and has written) about nearly anything. She'd love to write for you!

Testimonials

"Lindsey is a true professional, respects a deadline, and always keeps me updated with how a story is progressing. I trust that when she interviews people that she will find us the best story possible. Whenever we have had to navigate tricky waters with a source or subject, I feel that she listens well and makes ethical decisions. She's basically a dream writer for this editor."

- Nancy Wozny, editor in chief, Arts + Culture Texas

"Lindsey and I have worked together at two different companies and she is consistently hardworking and dedicated to her role. Her attitude remains positive, even under the tightest deadlines and heaviest workloads. She is detail oriented with grammar and editing, yet still highly creative — a difficult combination to find."

Katrina Autem, director of email marketing, CultureMap

"Working with Lindsey is a wonderful experience. She is creative and hardworking – always someone I looked forward to collaborating with on projects. She’s a strategic thinker and a natural leader who leads by example through attitude and quality work. She’s an incredibly kind and supportive coworker who brings charisma and thoughtfulness to work every day."

Kate Crouse, VP of strategy, Johnnie Studio

“As a manager, Lindsey is supportive, intuitive, and super organized. I learned so much from her and grew to be a much better writer and editor under her. I don't even have words to express how happy I am to have worked alongside her, and that's what it felt like during our time together: working alongside her. She is an advocate for clients and customers but also for her editorial team."
